CH Recommends : The Anxiety of Love

With members previously of Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Certain General, Joan Of Arc Family, Treehouse etc.

The Anxiety of Love are Leeds based and describe themselves as making searing music pinned around an omnipresent drum machine. They feel no affiliation at all to any particular genre, scene, movement, club, unless standoffish proleteriat art and harsh intelligent pop music are still considered marketable pigeonholes, and for this relatively precise maybe saleable brand of deliberate / spontaneously derived emotional noise.

Late last year they sold out their debut cassette release on the Berlin Label aufnahme + wiedergabe before it had even reached the release date and more releases of a similar measure are forthcoming.

The night is in conjunction with SECT so their DJs playing the likes of… Joy Division, Bauhaus, Sisters Of Mercy, Alien Sex Fiend, Sad Lovers and Giants, Virgin Prunes, Xmal, Banshees, Xeno and Oaklander, Martial Canterel, Das Ding, Twilight Ritual, A Split Second, Hard Corps, Sympathy Nervous, Lebanon Hanover……..etc

Doors are at 7pm and new venue Heartattack and Vine.  £6 on the door. 29th March 2013.
